Is music a language? Although I'd argue it 100% is a language, my only spoken language is English (although I am trying to learn Italian, French, and Spanish on my travels!).

Raina and Brodie go way back to primary school, introduced through Raina’s mate and Brodie’s sister, Deanna. They started dating at 21, but the first planned coffee date never happened because Brodie went all in on prep. Hours at the gym, fresh fade, new outfit, then went home and shaved head to toe for a simple latte run. Take two was a proper dinner where he ordered for her, old-school chivalry and big smiles all round. Later, on a snow trip, Brodie’s pep talk of “You just gotta send it” sent Raina straight to the hospital with a broken arm. They laugh about it now, and they’re keen to start a family and keep choosing each other, every day.

Their wedding at Rydges Campbelltown felt like them. Easygoing, a bit cheeky, and full of heart, with Sydney wedding MC Nathan Cassar keeping the room relaxed and the moments flowing. The Macarthur crowd turned up ready to celebrate, and the whole night had that South West Sydney warmth where everyone knows everyone and the dancefloor fills fast.

A few beats stand out. The cake cutting, paired with a champagne toast, set the vibe for the party to kick off properly. The father and daughter dance rolled into Raina and Brodie’s first dance, sweet and simple, the kind that makes you forget the cameras. And to close, guests formed an archway for a COVID-safe exit, a tunnel of cheers that matched their down-to-earth style. No fuss, just love and a good laugh.

Raina and Brodie, you’ve been in each other’s orbit since school, and now you’re building a home team of your own. Here’s to more dinners, more snow trips with fewer hospital visits, and a lifetime of sending it together, in the best way.
