Is music a language? Although I'd argue it 100% is a language, my only spoken language is English (although I am trying to learn Italian, French, and Spanish on my travels!).

Salt air, sea views, and a love story that crossed cities and continents. Natasha and Josh brought the romance to Fort Scratchley Function Centre in Newcastle, NSW, and the vibe was pure celebration. The Hunter Region put on a postcard afternoon, the harbour sparkling, the breeze easy, and two very smitten humans grinning like they had just won the grand final.

MC Nathan Cassar kept the energy high from the first hello to the final singalong, a cheeky nod to the couple’s shared love of music and a few playful Rabbitohs references sprinkled in for good measure. Guests from Sydney and Newcastle mixed like old mates, which made this Newcastle wedding feel warm, relaxed, and just a little bit legendary.

Their story is the good stuff. Natasha moved from Kolkata to Sydney in 2017, Josh is the coastal lad from Newcastle, and in 2020 they matched online, then met for dinner and drinks by Sydney Harbour. Lockdowns tried to make it tricky, but they chose each other anyway. Weekend road trips, late-night calls, and finally, Natasha packed up in 2022 and made Newcastle home. Josh even climbed the Harbour Bridge with her, heart pounding and legs wobbling, because love is braver than heights.

Trixie and Athena joined the family the same year, two furry chaos merchants who stole everyone’s hearts long before the canapé trays did. With music in their bones, footy on the telly, and a knack for looking after each other through the ups and downs, Natasha and Josh threw a party that felt exactly like them. A Fort Scratchley wedding in the Hunter Region, a Newcastle wedding MC who knew how to read the room, and a couple who prove that when you back your team, and each other, you always come out on top.
