Is music a language? Although I'd argue it 100% is a language, my only spoken language is English (although I am trying to learn Italian, French, and Spanish on my travels!).

The City of Parramatta Citizen of the Year Awards 2024 was a night to remember, held at the picturesque Parramatta Park. Nathan Cassar, Master of Ceremonies, had the honour of hosting this prestigious event, showcasing the heart and soul of our vibrant community.

A heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and nominees, especially Julie Crane, the City of Parramatta Citizen of the Year 2024. Your remarkable achievements and unwavering dedication truly make Parramatta an exceptional place. You are the shining stars of today and the driving force of our future.

Sharing the stage with The Right Worshipful, the Lord Mayor of Parramatta Councillor Pierre Esber, and esteemed MPs including Councillor Donna Davis MP and other City of Parramatta Councillors, added immense value to the celebration of local excellence.

A special thank you to Natasha Duarte for her soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem and to Hi-Life Music’s saxophone duo for creating a fantastic atmosphere before and after the presentation.

The event concluded with the enchanting Balloon Glow show at Parramatta Park, produced by DPLR Company, providing a magical end to a day filled with community spirit and celebration.
